2024 Colorado Springs Parade of Homes Celebrates 70th Year and Runs Through September 22

In 2024, the Colorado Springs Parade of Homes presented by the Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs marks its 70th year of celebrating and showcasing the latest trends in architecture, design, functionality and community. This year’s Parade features 30 homes to inspire across various price points (ranging from $482,517 to $5,300,000) with something for everyone. Whether you are looking to buy or looking for new designs you are sure to walk away inspired just as I did. 

For the fourth consecutive year, I've had the privilege of judging the Parade. This event has quickly become an annual highlight, offering me the opportunity to admire stunning residences and connect with fellow experts in design, architecture, and construction. As judges, we each carefully evaluate five homes across different price points. The categories include best kitchen, primary bedroom/bathroom suite, interior design, interior architecture/floorplan and exterior architecture. Each category will have a winner as well as an overall winner that will all be announced in early October.

The Parade runs September 6-22 (homes closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) and tickets can be purchased at springsparade.com. Upon purchase you will receive this year's plan book (or download the new Colorado Springs Parade App) which will help guide you on your tour. Once you have seen all the homes in a certain price point you will have the opportunity to vote in the People's Choice Award for your favorite home. 

This year’s Parade features 30 homes in four key community hubs around Colorado Springs: Wolf Ranch, Meridian Ranch, Sterling Ranch and Mayberry. Not to be confused with Littleton’s Sterling Ranch (near Ravenna), this Sterling Ranch is a vibrant new community in northeastern Colorado Springs.

More Info About the Event:

• Tickets are $17 each for ages 16 and older. Kids 15 and younger are free.
• Attendees will be able to vote online for the 2024 People's Choice Award in each category. You will need your ticket number and secret registration code to vote.
• You can tour a Parade home as many times as you would like during Parade hours. Your electronic ticket will be required each time you tour a home.
• The “Colorado Springs Parade of Homes” free app is available for download in Apple’s App Store and the Google Play Store.
• Large bags, purses and backpacks are not permitted in the homes and there is no smoking, vaping, eating or drinking in or around the homes.

I encourage anyone looking for inspiration or just a fun day out to attend this wonderful event! You will see homes featuring several different styles and design elements from Mountain Retreats and Modern Farmhouses to Contemporary and Traditional. As a real estate agent, having the opportunity to intimately view these homes and styles keeps me in tune with current design trends, what builders are hearing from buyers, and look at homes from a unique perspective surrounded by experts in the housing industry. As judges, we work in groups that generally include a real estate professional, a designer, a builder and an architect and conduct the majority of our business outside of Colorado Springs so that we come with a fresh perspective. We share our viewpoints as we walk through the homes and it’s both fascinating to discuss everything from the foundation to the functionality and beauty of each home. Dozens of trade partners are involved with each home showcasing their latest offerings in lighting, flooring, closets, counters, cabinetry, landscaping and more.
